  1. Day 1 Arrival in Cyprus

    Arrival in Cyprus. Transfer to your hotel in Limassol.

  2. Day 2 Half Day excursion - Limassol - Curium - Kolossi - Apollon

    Our drive takes us through the port city of Limassol and then through vineyards and lemon plantations to Curium. The city, named "Curium" in Roman times, already existed at the beginning of the 1st millennium B.C. The parts are still visible there, however, all date from Roman and even early Christian times. You will visit the Roman amphitheater which was built in this form in the 2nd century AD and had a capacity of 3500 spectators. From the rows of seats, you have a fascinating view of the beach of Kourion and the peninsula of Akrotiri. You will also visit the mosaics in the House of Eustolios, which dates back to the 5th century. Continue to the castle of Kolossi. The castle was built at the end of the 13th century and is associated with the Order of the Knights of St John. Next on the program is the sanctuary of Apollo Hylates. The god was worshipped here as the protector of the forest and wild animals. In the sacred area you will see the foundations of several pilgrim hostels as well as a partially reconstructed temple from the 1st century AD. Return to the hotel in Limassol. The afternoon is at free disposal.

  3. Day 3 Full day excursion - Nicosia (both parts)

    After breakfast, visit the capital Lefkosía (Nicosia). The heart of the city, the old town, has been enclosed by a 4.5 km long Venetian wall since the 16th century. Originally, there were three gates leading into the city: the "Páfos Gate (Porta Domenica) in the west, the Kyrenia Gate (Porta del Proveditore) in the north and the Famagusta Gate (Porta Guiliana) in the east. You start the visit with the Cyprus Museum with the most beautiful archaeological collection of the Middle East and among the thousands of exhibits you should not miss the collection of red and white pottery and soapstone figurines from the Neolithic excavation site. Afterwards you visit the Archbishop’s Palace and the Ágios Ioánnis Cathedral, built when Archbishop Nikiforos was appointed in 1662, and the Byzantine Museum with the largest collection of icons on the island. You will have time for lunch in the Laikí Gitoniá, a romantic looking corner of the old town. After lunch, you will walk through the "Ledra" street to the northern part of the city. There you will visit the 14th century Church of St. Sophia, which was converted into a mosque, and the "Caravanserai". Return to Limassol.

  4. Day 4 Full day excursion - Larnaca - Chirokitia - Lefkara

    After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Larnaca. The tourist center of the city, the palm-lined Finikoúdes promenade, runs north along the seafront behind the fortress and is lined with cafés and restaurants. Visit the church of Ágios Lázaros. The program continues with a visit to the excavations of one of the oldest cultures in the world, Chirokitia (8000 BC). Continue to the famous village of Lefkara, where the women make the world-famous embroideries "Lefkaritika" according to ancient tradition. The village with its folk art and traditional architecture will certainly be a special attraction for you. Return journey to Limassol.

  5. Day 5 Full day excursion - Troodos Mountains - Kykko Monastery - Wine Village Omodos

    You drive through the "Green Heart" of Cyprus: the Troodos Mountains. The highest peak of the mountains is Olympos at 1951m. You will visit the Kykko Monastery, the wealthiest and most powerful monastery on the island, situated far away from any village. Its wealth and fame are based on an icon of the Virgin Mary in the monastery church, which is said to have worked countless private miracles and saved entire villages and areas from drought. In gratitude, the faithful donated icons, precious metals and money. After this visit, drive to Ómodhos. This pretty mountain village was built around the monastery of Timíou Stavrou. The villages in this area are known as Krassokoria (literally wine villages). Time for lunch in the village square of Omodos. Return to Limassol.

  6. Day 6 Full day excursion - Kyrenia - Bellapais

    Drive to Kyrenia. Kyrenia is certainly the most picturesque town in the northern part of Cyprus. The castle tower lays over the harbor, where cafes and historic Venetian houses line up. The tour becomes a journey through the island’s history. On the slopes of the Pentadaktylos Mountains lie the majestic ruins of the Gothic Bellapais Abbey, which already fascinated the novelist, Lawrence Durrell. Return to Limassol.

  7. Day 7 Free time

    Today you have the day at your free disposal.

  8. Day 8 Return flight

    You leave Cyprus today and start your journey home. Transfer to the airport and return flight.
