  1. Day 1 Arrival in Athens

    Arrival on the international airport of Athens. Transfer to the hotel. After that you have the possibility with your tour leader to take a short walk, to gain a first impression of Athens.

  2. Day 2 City Tour – Acropolis – Acropolis museum

    Athens is considered the symbol of freedom, art and democracy. In the middle of the city are two hills. On the one hill, the Acropolis presents itself with the monuments from the age of Pericles and on the other the Lycabettus hill with the small white church St. Georgis. A city tour takes you through modern Athens. You will experience a vital metropolis that gives off a splendid play of colors. During the subsequent visit to the Acropolis, you will see the Propylaea, the Parthenon Temple and the Erechtheion. Visit the Acropolis Museum. Afterwards, experience greek flair on a walk through the picturesque old town of Plaka with its many tavernas and souvenir shops.

  3. Day 3 Walking tour of Athens - Lycabettus - Cape Sounion - optional: wine tasting at the Vassiliou Wineryn


    Today you will take a walk through the old quarters of Athens. Immerse yourself in a city full of contrasts and surprises. Visit the Athens Market Hall, which contains both the fish and meat markets. Also try the famous loukoumades on your way to the trendy Psyri district. Monastiraki is a unique place where different religions and cultures come together. The area is also famous for its flea market and antiques. Then take the Teleferic-train up to Lycabettus Hill. From there you overlook the whole city of Athens and have a clear view of the Acropolis and see the sea on the horizon. Afterwards, you will continue to Cape Sounion. Visit the Temple of Poseidon. Of the once imposing Doric temple complex of the sea god, 15 columns still stand on the cliff today - no less impressive. The marble frieze depicts scenes of the battle of the giants and the heroic deeds of Theseus.
    Optional: Afterwards, there is the possibility to visit a winery and take part in a wine tasting.

  4. Day 4 Aegina Island

    Day trip to the island of Aegina. You will drive to the port of Piraeus. From there you will take the ferry to the island of Aegina, famous for its high quality pistachios. First you will drive to the Monastery of St. Mary Chryssoleodissa, which dates back to the 16th century. Then the drive continues to the Temple of Aphaia. The well-preserved temple of the Greek goddess Athena Aphaia, which was dedicated to her as the patron saint of women and the protector of the island. Afterwards visit Aegina town. Return to Piraeus and from there to the hotel.

  5. Day 5 Return journey

    Transfer to Athens airport. Return flight home.
