  1. Day 1 Arrival Athens

    Arrival at the airport in Athens. Drive to the hotel. Overnight stay in Athens.

  2. Day 2 Athens

    Athens is considered the symbol of freedom, art and democracy. There are two hills in the middle of the city. A city tour takes you through modern Athens. You will experience a vital metropolis that gives off a splendid play of colors. During the subsequent visit to the Acropolis, you will see the Propylaea, the Parthenon Temple and the Erechtheion. Then visit the newly opened Acropolis Museum. Afterwards, experience Greek flair on a walk through the picturesque old town of Plaka with its many tavernas and souvenir shops. Drive via Thiva and Livadia to Delphi. Overnight stay in Delphi.

  3. Day 3 Delphi

    The archaeological site of Delphi extends as a terraced site on the foothills of Mount Parnassus. Here you have a magnificent view down to the valley of the Pleistos and the bay of Itea on the Gulf of Corinth. You will visit the oracle site of Apollo, the god of light, which was considered the center of the world in ancient times. People met here to consult the oracle. Only with the arrival of Christianity did the speaking source fall silent. You will see the sacred street, the temple, the theater, the Athenian treasury and the stadium. Afterwards you will visit the museum. Then drive via the picturesque towns of Galaxidi and Nafpaktos and over the Antirrio-Rio suspension bridge to Olympia. Overnight stay in Olympia.

  4. Day 4 Olympia - Optional: Wine tasting

    This morning you will visit Olympia, where the Olympic fire is still lit today. You will see the impressive building of the Altis - the temple of Zeus, which was built in the 5th century. You will also see the Temple of Hera, built around 600 BC. Pass the treasure houses to the famous stadium - the largest in the world at that time. The subsequent visit to the archaeological museum shows you all the results of the Olympia excavations. Drive along the coastal road to Kalamata. Overnight stay in Kalamata.
    Optional: Afterwards you visit a winery and take part in a wine tasting with appetizers.

  5. Day 5 Nestor Palace - Pylos - Methoni - Finikounda

    Drive to Hora, a village like from the Middle Ages. Your next stop about 4 km away is the Mycenaean acropolis at Englianos with the palace of the "wise king" Nestor. You continue to the harbor town of Pylos, which nestles in the bay of Navarino. Here you will have the feeling of being on an island. Via Methoni, with its massive fortifications, and Finikounda, a picturesque fishing village, you will return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Kalamata.

  6. Day 6 Mani Peninsula - Olive Oil Production Facility - Gythion

    Today’s drive takes you first to the Mani peninsula, which overwhelms you with its barren land. Bare rocks, hard stone and abruptly descending mountain gorges underline its rough side. You will see the characteristic stone defense and residential towers in the middle of numerous prickly pears. Afterwards, you will visit the olive oil production facility, which is located in Kardamilli. (Tasting of local products-olives, olive oil etc.) The subsequent drive takes you to the picturesque harbor town of Gythion. The houses, shops and tavernas are lined up in a row and look directly onto the boats that line the long quay. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Kalamata.

  7. Day 7 Mistras

    Today’s drive takes you via Sparta to Mistras, a town that developed into an important intellectual center in Byzantine times. You will visit the Byzantine castle town with the despot’s palace, the churches with their wonderful fresco decorations and the 15th century Pantanassa Monastery on the eastern side of the hill, where nuns still live today. Continue to the Corinthian Gulf. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  8. Day 8 Epidaurus - Poros Island

    Today’s excursion takes you past vineyards and olive trees to Epidaurus. There you will visit the amphitheater, famous for its extraordinary acoustics. North of the theater is the site of the sanctuary, which was dedicated to Asclepius, the god of healing. Finds from the excavation site are presented in the museum. You continue to Galatas, where you take a boat to the island of Poros. The island offers its guests a beautiful landscape - with low pine-covered hills, with its lemon groves and the water mills scattered in between. In addition, Poros forms with the opposite "Galatas" the most beautiful strait in Greece and invites you to a wonderful walk. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  9. Day 9 Ancient Corinth - Mycenae - Nauplia - Optional: Ouzo distillery

    In the morning you drive to Old Corinth, once the most important harbor and trading city. Above it rises the massive rock cone with the castle fortifications - Acrocorinth. The fortifications reveal the eventful history of the city and this largest and oldest castle in the Peloponnese. You will visit the Agora, the Lechaion Street, the Peirene Spring and the Doric Temple of Apollo. The journey takes you to Mycenae. There you will visit the castle complex, the Lion’s Gate and the royal tombs. Then visit the charming harbor town of Nafplio with its historic old town. Optional: Afterwards you have the possibility to visit the ouzo distillery Karonis in Nafplio and participate in a tasting. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  10. Day 10 Return journey

    Drive to Athens airport. Return flight.
