  1. Day 1 Arrival Athens

    Arrival at Athens airport. Drive north to Kamena Vourla on the Euboean Gulf. Overnight in Kamena Vourla.

  2. Day 2 Meteora Monasteries

    Drive to Kalambaka. On the rock towers you can see the monasteries built by monks in Byzantine times, 6 of which are still in use today. These peculiar geological rock phenomenon have been given the name of Meteora, meaning "The Floating Ones" because the monasteries seem to float between heaven and earth. In the past, visitors were pulled up to the dizzying heights by the monks in pulleys. Today a comfortable road leads from Kalambaka up to the monasteries. You will see wonderful wall paintings, relics and icons of priceless value in two monasteries. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Kamena Vourla.

  3. Day 3 Delphi - Ossios Loukas Monastery

    Today’s drive takes you to Delphi. The archaeological site of Delphi, extends as a terraced site on the foothills of Mount Parnassus. Here there is a magnificent view down to the valley of the Pleistos and the bay of Itea on the Gulf of Corinth. You will visit the oracle site of Apollo, the god of light, which was considered the center of the world in ancient times. You will see the sacred street, the temple, the theatre and the Athenian treasure house. Afterwards you will visit the museum. Afterwards, you will continue to Ossios Lukas. There you will visit the Byzantine monastery with its beautiful mosaics from the 11th century. Afterwards you will drive to your hotel on the Corinthian Gulf. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  4. Day 4 Argolis (Mycenae - Nafplio - Epidaurus)

    Day trip to Mycenae with a visit to the castle complex, the Lion’s Gate and the royal tombs. You will continue to the charming little harbor town of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Enjoy a walk through the old town with its many old, picturesque houses. The drive afterwards takes you past lemon groves, orange and olive trees to Epidaurus. There you will visit the amphitheater, famous for its extraordinary acoustics. North of the theatre is the site of the sanctuary, which was dedicated to Asclepius, the god of healing. Finds from the excavation site are on display in the museum. Return journey along the beautiful coastal road. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  5. Day 5 Athens

    Today the capital is on the program for you. Athens is considered the symbol of freedom, art and democracy. There are two hills in the middle of the city. On one is the Acropolis with its monuments from the age of Pericles and on the other is Lycabettus Hill with the small white church of Agios Georgios. The city tour takes you through modern Athens, which is a splendid play of colors. During the subsequent visit to the Acropolis, you will see the Propylaea, the Parthenon Temple and the Erechtheion. Afterwards, visit the Arcopolis Museum. Then experience Greek flair on a walk through the picturesque old town of Plaka with its many tavernas and souvenir shops. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  6. Day 6 Mistras

    Today’s journey takes you via Sparta to Mistras, a town that developed into an important intellectual center in Byzantine times. You will visit the Byzantine castle town with the despot’s palace, the churches with their wonderful fresco decorations and the 15th century Pantanassa Monastery on the eastern side of the hill, where nuns still live today. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  7. Day 7 Half-day excursion Old Corinth - Optional Canal trip or wine tasting in Nemea

    Today we drive to Old Corinth, once the most important harbor and trading city. Above it rises the massive rock cone with the castle fortifications - Acrocorinth. The fortifications reveal the eventful history of the city and this largest and oldest castle in the Peloponnese. You will visit the Agora, the Lechaion Street, the Peirene Spring and the Doric Temple of Apollo. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.
    Optional: Canal trip
    Afterwards you will drive to the gate of the Peloponnese. By boat, the journey goes through the approx. 6 km long and approx. 23 m wide canal of Corinth, the famous "Isthmus". On board you will enjoy an ouzo. This is accompanied by a small meze typical of the country.

    Afterwards you will drive to Nemea, which is situated in the middle of a fertile plain full of vineyards and olive trees and is known for its famous wines. Here you have the opportunity to take part in a wine tasting. Return to the hotel through the Corinthian mountains.


  8. Day 8 Return journey

    Transfer to Athens airport. Return flight.
