  1. Day 1 Departure Ancona

  2. Day 2 Igoumenitsa - Ioannina - Kalambaka

    Arrival in Igoumenitsa in the morning. You will first travel to Ioannina. There you will visit the oriental-looking old town with its city wall, the picturesque narrow alleys and the Litharitsia fortress from the time of Ali Pasha. The journey continues via Metsovo to Kalambaka. Overnight stay in Kalambaka.

  3. Day 3 Meteora Monasteries

    On the rock towers you will see the monasteries built by monks in Byzantine times, 6 of them are still in use today. This peculiar geological rock phenomenon has been given the name Meteora, meaning "the floating ones", as the monasteries seem to hover between heaven and earth. In the past, visitors were pulled up to the dizzy heights by the monks in pulleys. Today, a convenient car road leads from Kalambaka up to the monasteries. You will visit wonderful wall paintings, relics and icons of inestimable value in two monasteries. Continue to Itea near Delphi. Overnight stay in the area of Delphi.

  4. Day 4 Delphi

    Drive to Delphi. The archaeological site of Delphi is a terraced site on the foothills of Mount Parnass. You see here a magnificent view down into the valley of the Pleistos and to the bay of Itea on the Gulf of Corinth. You will visit the oracle site of Apollo, the god of light, which was considered the center of the world in ancient times. You will see the sacred street, the temple, the theater, the Athenian treasure house, the stadium and the museum. The following drive takes you to the Gulf of Corinth. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  5. Day 5 Mycenae - Nafplio - Epidaurus - Optional: Dinner

    Day trip to Mycenae with a visit to the castle complex, the Lion’s Gate and the royal tombs. Continue to the charming little port town of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Enjoy a walk through the old town with its many old, picturesque houses. The subsequent drive takes you past lemon, orange and olive groves to Epidaurus. There you will visit the amphitheater, famous for its extraordinary acoustics. North of the theater is the site of the sanctuary, which was dedicated to the god of healing, Asclepius. Finds from the excavation site are presented in the museum. Return on the beautiful coastal road along the Saronic Gulf. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.
    Optional: Dinner in a typical Greek taverna.

  6. Day 6 Athens

    You drive to the capital of Greece. Athens is considered the symbol of freedom, art and democracy. There are two hills in the middle of the city. A city tour takes you through modern Athens. You will experience a vital metropolis that gives off a splendid play of colors. During the following visit to the Acropolis, you will see the Propylaea, the Parthenon Temple and the Erechtheion. Afterwards visit the Acropolis Museum. Afterwards, experience Greek flair on a walk through the picturesque old town of Plaka with its many tavernas and souvenir shops. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.

  7. Day 7 Half-day excursion to Ancient Corinth - Optional: Canal trip or wine tasting in Nemea

    Today you will visit Ancient Corinth, once the most important port and trading city. Above the city rises the massive rock cone with the castle fortifications - Acro Corinth. The fortifications reveal the eventful history of the city and this largest and oldest castle in the Peloponnese. You will visit the Agora, the Lechaion Street, the Peirene Spring and the Doric Temple of Apollo. Overnight stay in the Corinth area.
    Afterwards optional: canal trip
    Afterwards you will travel by bus to the gate of the Peloponnese. By boat, the journey goes through the canal of Corinth, which is approx. 6 km long and approx. 23 m wide, the famous "Isthmus".

    Afterwards optional: Wine tasting in Nemea
    Afterwards you drive to Nemea, which is situated in the middle of a fertile plain full of vineyards and olive trees and is known for its famous wines. Here you will take part in a wine tasting. Return journey through the Corinthian mountains.

  8. Day 8 Morning free time or optional excursion to Kalavrita.
    Boarding in Patras (journey home)

    This morning is at your free disposal. At noon you will leave the hotel and drive along the coastal road to Patras. There you will embark for Ancona in the afternoon. Overnight stay at sea
    Optional:
    Drive along the coastal road to Diakofto. From there you will drive through the Voraikos Gorge and visit the monastery of Mega Spileo on the way. You will reach Kalavrita, a traditional mountain village of stone houses, which has numerous typical tavernas. Continue to Patras, where you embark for Ancona.

  9. Day 9 Arrival in Ancona

    Arrival in Ancona. Journey home.
